A little more about who we are, what we do, and why we started Mintor.

Mission

Mintor was created out of necessity. We identified that in an age of infinite information and social connections, there is a lack of access to mentorship and first-hand experiences. Mintor is building the team and platform to drive mentoring into the digital age.

Our team

Kasra Khalili

CEO & Co-founder

Kasra has lead the development, design, and implementation of training in corporate and remote environments. In these roles he has been a part of expanding teams, creating new processes, and strategic planning for growth. Additionally, he has been a sole founder and co-founder in two other companies.

Scott Knight

CTO & Co-founder

Scott has a thorough background with Microsoft .NET, web-based, and business application technologies and has worked in every state of the software development life-cycle. Scott has been an enterprise software engineer since 2015 and develops solutions for clients within Louisiana city government, state government, and commercial environments.

Entrepreneur Coach & Startup Strategist

Co-founder of Odyssey in college in 2009, a platform for community content, and grew it to a $100 million company. From lean start-up to VC-backed. From Midwest to East Coast. From small businesses to Fortune 10-500 clients. Constantly building community between and with founders around the world helping scale their businesses. I’ve mentored and advised several start-ups in B2B, B2C, SAAS, marketplace and more. 

Don Zhang

Asst. Psychology Professor Louisiana State University

An Industrial and Organizational Psychologist. Don leverages behavioral science principles and rigorous analytics to help organizations hire, develop, and retain top talent. His academic research focuses on pre-employment selection practices such as job interviews and personality assessments.

Lauren Rees

Technical Project Manager Accruent

New Orleans native with 7 years of experience in project coordination and management overseeing multiple large-scale software and hardware rollouts, including 400+ site Point-of-Sale (POS) implementations for a national restaurant retailer as well as 1,600+ site network refreshes for a national retailer. Served as the Project Manager supporting over 25 projects across the Commercial, State, and Local Government sector. 

Stephen Loy

Executive Director Louisiana Technology Park

Stephen is accredited in Public Relations and is a past President of The Public Relations Association of Louisiana—Baton Rouge Chapter (PRAL-BR). He served as Treasurer of the Southern Public Relations Federation Board of Directors and is a past President of the Louisiana Business Incubation Association. Stephen currently serves on the board of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC).
